The information you provide will be used by Sian Berry and London Green Party in order to maintain a register of supporters and supply you with updates and calls to action about Sian Berry and London Green Party’s campaigning in London. If you signed up to hear about a particular topic, or for a particular campaign, we will respect that choice. Your data will not be used for other Green Party campaigns, or for national party news – which you can sign up to separately at www.greenparty.org.uk.
3. We will never voluntarily share your personal information with a third party, and will fight to the degree that we are able any legal or government action that attempts to obtain such data.
4. Under the Data Protection Act, you may at any time request a copy of all information we hold on you (for which we may on rare occasions charge a small fee to offset our administration costs) by email or writing to us at the above address.

This ensures that we can continue to represent supporters views in a democratic way and to help us generate revenue to fund our political activities. This processing is considered to be fundamental to our role in promoting democracy in the public interest.

We may from time to time contact you directly asking for donations to help fund the work of the Party. Without funding it would be impossible to function as a Political Party and therefore such communication is considered to be a fundamental part of our role in promoting democracy in the public interest.
Purpose: Canvassing of Political Opinions

As a political party we require an understanding of the political opinions of the UK electorate both nationally and on local campaigns and issues. This understanding is considered to be a fundamental part of our role in promoting democracy in the public interest. Political opinions are classed as ‘special category’ data under data privacy legislation and our processing of this data is in accordance with Article 9 (g) of the General Data Protection Regulations which states that “processing is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest, on the basis of Union or Member State law…”

Where you have identified as a supporter your data will be held until such time as you unsubscribe from receiving communications from us.
Where you have donated to London Green Party, the Green Party or one of its campaigns the related data will be held for a period of 5 years to ensure we can comply with financial regulations.
